He began his professional career in various commercial roles at Liebherr-Baumaschinen AG, most recently serving as Commercial Manager. In 1990, he joined Credit Suisse Funds AG, where he held various leadership positions in the real estate fund sector for over 30 years. As Head of Real Estate Fund Management and a member of the Executive Board, his responsibilities included the launch of new real estate funds, capital increases, fund mergers, and acting as a qualified person for FINMA. Furthermore, he served as the Fund Manager of the largest real estate fund of Credit Suisse from 2002 to 2019. In 2022, following the conclusion of his operational activities, he transitioned to the Board of Directors of Credit Suisse Funds AG, where he served until 2024 as a Board Member and Chairman of the Real Estate Funds Committee. In addition to his work at Credit Suisse Funds AG, he was a lecturer for ‚Real Estate Funds‘ at the Fund Academy in Zurich from 2004 to 2020 and a member of the ‚Real Estate Funds‘ specialist committee at the Asset Management Association Switzerland (AMAS) from 2017 to 2022.

Since July 2019, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Helvetia Asset Management AG, Basel.
